Police seek assistance in locating woman wanted on Canada-wide warrant

Saint John Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 37-year-old woman who is wanted on a country-wide warrant.

In a media release issued Thursday, police stated a warrant was issued earlier this week for Shelley Marr for allegedly breaching the conditions of her statutory release. Marr, police report, failed to return to Saint John after visiting the Moncton area on a travel permit.

She is described as 5’3, 130lbs, with blonde hair, and hazel eyes. Marr has several tattoos and piercings with some of the tattoos including the words Abbey and Kyla as well as stars on her neck.

Marr is serving a two-year sentence for convictions of  breaking and entering with intent, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, procuring/possessing/selling identity documents, theft under $5,000, mischief to property, two counts of failure to attend court and failure to comply with an undertaking.

“Police are warning the public to not approach the suspect,” the media release stated.
