RED DEER, Alta. - Dustin Sylvester's goal and two assists led the Kootenay Ice to a 4-1 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Jesse Ismond, Kevin King, and Petr Senkerik also scored for Kootenay (8-11-1). Todd Mathews turned aside 34 shots for the Ice.

Andrej Kudrna notched a power-play goal for Red Deer (8-10-0).

Rebels netminder Darcy Kuemper stopped 12 of 15 shots before being replaced by Kraymer Barnstable, who made eight saves.
