Steven Stanford makes 25 saves, leads Blades past Broncos 3-1 in WHL action

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Steven Stanford made 25 saves for Saskatoon as the Blades downed the Swift Current Broncos 3-1 in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Jyri Niemi, Travis Toomey and Gaelan Patterson scored for Saskatoon (13-3-2).

Michael Stickland replied on the power play for Swift Current (9-8-1).

Morgan Clark made 23 saves in taking the loss for the Broncos.
