Stars are off and running
Published Friday October 30th, 2009

After losing their season opener to the Moncton Rockets by a score of 3-1 on Oct. 17, the Stars ran off three in a row to take over top spot in the league.
The defending provincial and Atlantic champions got past the Saint John Fundy Blues 5-4 on Oct. 18 and followed that up with another one-goal win, this time over the Fredericton Tommies.
While the team is expected to be in the hunt, they are in a rebuilding year after losing seven players from last year's squad, some of whom to universities in the Maritimes. There are just five players back from last year and 12 in all.
Team manager Gail Dupere said that the team is looking for other players.
