Miramichi alumni hoops games planned

MIRAMICHI - Miramichi's two high schools are planning alumni hoops events for Christmas week featuring former players taking on the current teams.

Up first is Miramichi Valley High School. The Pulamoo Alumni Night goes Tuesday, Dec. 23 at the school gymnasium.

The women's game begins at 6:30 p.m.and will be followed by the men's game at 8:30 p.m.

Spectators and alumni are being asked to make a donation towards an annual bursary to be awarded to a graduating player from both the boys and girls basketball teams.

The James M. Hill Tommies will spend Boxing Day on the court as their event goes Friday.

It all begins at 1 p.m. with the women's game and will be followed by the men. Both games are at the school gymnasium.
